O God, you granted countless graces to Blessed Josemaria your priest, choosing him as a most faithful instrument to found Opus Dei, a way of sanctification through daily work and the fulfilment of the ordinary duties of a Christian. Grant that I also may learn to turn all the circumstances and events of my life into occasions of loving you and of serving the Church, the Pope, and all souls, with joy and simplicity, lighting up the ways of the earth with brightness of faith and love. Deign to grant the canonization of Blessed Josemaria and through his intercession, grant me the favour I ask of you (here make your petition.) Amen. Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be to the Father. Lord, in this holy season of prayer and song and laughter, we praise you for the great wonders you have sent us: for shining star and angel's song, for infant's cry in lowly manger. We praise you for the Word made flesh in a little Child. We behold his glory, and are bathed in its radiance. Be with us as we sing the ironies of Christmas, the incomprehensible comprehended, the poetry made hard fact, the helpless Babe who cracks the world asunder. We kneel before you shepherds, innkeepers, wise men. Help us to rise bigger than we are. Amen.
