God of power and mercy, open our hearts in welcome. Remove the things that hinder us from receiving Christ with joy, so that we may share his wisdom and become one with him when he comes in glory, for he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

O God, you granted countless graces to Blessed Josemaria your priest, choosing him as a most faithful instrument to found Opus Dei, a way of sanctification through daily work and the fulfilment of the ordinary duties of a Christian. Grant that I also may learn to turn all the circumstances and events of my life into occasions of loving you and of serving the Church, the Pope, and all souls, with joy and simplicity, lighting up the ways of the earth with brightness of faith and love. Deign to grant the canonization of Blessed Josemaria and through his intercession, grant me the favour I ask of you (here make your petition.) Amen. Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be to the Father.
